We’ve picked up these headlamps to attach on to the light cycle for extra shine…. The dark nights are here and we’re taking to the streets.

Urban Projections took to the streets with volunteers from Mansfield Oxjam, to wash the town hall in colour with the Light Cycle.  ‘Oxjam’ is Oxfam’s month long festival, which happens all over the U.K to raise money to fight poverty and suffering around the world.

Get Involved

The light cycle will be out on the streets of Mansfield on the 13th, 18th & 21st November, 7-9pm.  Starting from Westfield Folkhouse (Westfield Lane), we will be taking to the streets, creating living murals in forgotten spaces. Come join us.

We’ve had a delivery!….. and we’re sat on it like a kid at Christmas!

The Light Cycle is out of the workshop, powder coated in matt black, assembled and ready to be delivered.

The Light Cycle rocks an Ipad running Tagtool.  Using Tagtool, we can create ‘digital graffiti’ which become living murals, as we animate the drawings live.  We wirelessly network together multiple ipads, to team up with professional illustrators.

The projector will be mounted into position on the bike, using a Unicol Gyrolock system.  This allows for full tilt and rotation through any angle, as well as a twist-and-lock- system for dismounting / mounting the projector.

We’ve been carefully discussing the insides of our Light Cycle, to ensure that the design is both functional and practical.  A hard flight-case will house the equipment, which will be split into shelves.
